About Robert's Diesel Works

Founded in Orlando in 1989 by Robert Hodgins, and still building cranes on West Gore Street.

Robert (Bobby) Hodgins started the company in 1989. What began as diesel work became crane work, and the shop has been putting cranes on trucks and taking them apart again ever since.

Our speciality is building a crane for an industry that does not have one yet. PM, IMT, Fassi, Hiab, Palfinger, concrete form handling, knuckle boom, poured wall, articulating, boom truck, stick boom, truck mounted, and a fair number of machines that do not have a category.

What that means for you

• The person quoting your part has usually rebuilt the machine it goes on
• We stock used parts as well as new, so an older crane stays in service
• The fabrication shop is ours, so a modification does not go out to a third party
• We service the truck as well as the crane, which saves you two appointments
