The 2622T is the smallest, most lightweight model in Bil-Jax's Summit Series product line and features a 26'6" platform height, a 22-foot maximum outreach, a two-person 30"x48" platform, and a 440-pound load capacity.
Weighing in at about 2,500 pounds (depending on equipped options and accessories), the 2622T is within the typical tow capacity ratings of popular mini-vans, such as the Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, and Dodge Caravan, and the newer, more fuel-efficient class of smaller SUVs like the Toyota Highlander and Ford Escape, when they are properly equipped with a Class 2 hitch.

Trailer-mounted 2622T "It is the most towable model of the Summit Series family and is really intended for the small tool rental houses that cater to the DIY homeowner and small contractor markets", said Steve Citron, director of business development at Bil-Jax. With its 26'6" platform height and 22-foot horizontal outreach, this compact, highly towable package better meets the requirements of this particular market segment when compared to heavier, larger trailer-mounted aerials currently available in the marketplace, he added.
"We also believe the lower acquisition cost of this model will trickle down into a lower and more attractive rental rate, which will ultimately increase utilization of trailer-mounts by these end-users and, therefore, fuel ongoing growth of this segment," Citron said.

This unit utilizes a telescopic boom, which Bil-Jax concedes is easier to operate than conventional articulating booms, which frequently require multiple elevation changes of two boom arms in order to position the platform. The 2622T's also features 700° turntable rotation, zero tailswing outside the outrigger footprint, and integrated forklift pockets. The stowed dimensions are 5'5.5"x16'5.5"x6'5.5".
Operating the ManLift. Aerial work platform. Man Lift. Aerial lift.
Trailer-mounted 2622T is accomplished through a self-intuitive control system from either the platform or the ground control station, which is common throughout the Summit Series. Both control stations feature an easy-to-understand display panel with control buttons positioned around a single machine image for easy identification of button functions.
For on-site powered maneuverability, a drive option will be available allowing users to operate the outriggers and drive the machine from the platform in the fully lowered position. A heavy duty jockey wheel, steel fenders, and ST 205/75 R14C heavy-duty tires provide durable performance. The unit is powered by a four 6V, 245 amp-hr batteries.
This machine features hydraulic cylinders protected by steel guards and an optimized outrigger geometry providing up to 12.5° of leveling capability, which is also a common overall design approach for all Summit Series booms. The 2622T's auto-level system provides quick and easy machine set-up from the ground control station, which can be completed in less than 30 seconds when all four outriggers are deployed simultaneously. Additionally, 10-inch diameter, non-marking outrigger footpads provide excellent performance in rough-terrain jobsites and indoor applications on sensitive flooring. The outrigger footprint measures 9'10.5"x11'0.75".
The generator interface plate provides onboard storage, tie-down provisions, and a receptacle connection point for portable generators. Lockable covers protect internal components, and pad-lockable ground control cover deters unauthorized operation.
Optional equipment
A 120° optional platform rotator provides an increased working area and platform positioning capability. Additionally, the quick-disconnect platform and optional material lifting hook allows the machine to be converted into a lightweight, 440-pound capacity towable material handler.
An optional parking brake provides easy machine positioning as well as controlled maneuverability on inclines. The company also plans to offer a retractable axle system, which allows the machine access through a single doorway. Other options include DC/gas hybrid power, air or water lines to the platform, spare tire and wheel, tool tray, and an adjustable height combination hitch.
